University College, London have announced a half day taster event (Wed 14th November 1- 4.30 pm). This is an unusual degree at face value, but it is valued by this highly prestigious university and does hark back to the golden age of Renaissance science when the Sciences and Arts were considered to be complementary and interchangeable. The polymath Leonardo Da Vinci is the greatest example of this notion.

New University Statistics Site
The new Unistats site is operational and there is now a link on this site to it. It offers information on student satisfaction by university course and employment prospects. It also offers estimates of accommodation costs. Much of this information feeds into the newspaper university guides, but it is more clearly presented here.

University Taster Days
Another new site to help the process of uncovering university options. This one appears to be a collection site, which offers little commentary, but could well help narrow a search, especially for more hard to access subjects. Link is in the University section.
